ART LAB: Create, Experiment & Find Your Style
Calling all creative teens! Join Carolina for a hands-on after-school art program designed for young artists who love to create, experiment, and express their own ideas. Across 9 sessions, students will explore a wide range of artistic techniques through creative challenges, personal projects, and a final large-scale artwork. Rather than following a single formula, students will have the freedom to develop their own artistic style while learning practical art skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.
What to Expect:
Creative Art Workshops: Throughout the course, students will experiment with a variety of artistic techniques while building confidence in their creative decisions and discovering what inspires them. Here's what's in store:
Creative Drawing & Sketching: Explore observation, imagination, and expressive drawing through fun creative challenges.
Abstract Art & Visual Expression: Experiment with colour, shape, texture, and composition to create unique abstract pieces.
Portraiture: Discover different approaches to drawing and interpreting the human face.
Pointillism & Texture: Explore layering, pattern, and texture through detailed mark-making techniques.
Geometric Compositions & Symmetry: Create striking designs inspired by balance, repetition, and geometric forms.
Colour Theory: Learn how warm and cool colours influence mood, contrast, and visual impact.
Collage & Mixed Media: Combine different materials and techniques to produce original layered artworks.
Pop Art-Inspired Techniques: Experiment with bold colours, graphic styles, and contemporary artistic influences.
Final Personal Project: During the final four sessions, students will design and create their own original artwork on a large 30 × 40 cm canvas or art surface. They'll choose their own subject, style, colours, and techniques, bringing together everything they've explored throughout the course.

Number of Sessions: 9
Session Time: Mondays, 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Age Group: 13–15
Participation Requirement: Minimum of 6 students
Maximum Amount of Participants: 20
Terms & Conditions:
Deadline for Sign-Up: Thursday, September 10th at 12 pm
Half-Term Break: No ECAs during the week of October 12th, as the education center will be closed.
Refund Policy: Families have up to 24 hours after the first class to withdraw and receive a refund for the remaining sessions. If they attended the first session, a one-time fee plus a 10% processing charge will be deducted from the total refund. After this 24-hour period, refunds will no longer be available.
