Are you looking for an easy mode of transportation for moving around Kamakura more freely? Emobi may be the thing for you!
Emobi is an electric tuk-tuk with three passenger seats that can be easily driven by anyone with a regular driver's license. It has a range of about 30 km and a maximum speed of 50 kmph. This vehicle is open without doors, allowing visitors to enjoy driving while feeling the breeze.
Emobi has partnered with Boundless Life and is offering a special monthly rental package for our Boundless families staying in Kamakura. You can learn further details at the Emobi website.
Total for the 1-Month Rental Plan
Base Rental Fee ¥28,750 + Comprehensive Insurance ¥ 11,500 = TOTAL ¥ 40,250
Valet Service: ¥ 9,000 /month (only during business hours 9:30 - 18:00)
You can drop off the tuk-tuk at the Emobi shop, and hand over the key. When leaving, you go back to the same shop and start driving again.
Documents Required for Renting Emobi (1 + either 2A or 2B)
Your Passport
A - International driving permit + home country license, for the nationals of the following countries:
USA, France, South Korea, Hong Kong, Canada, UK, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore
B - Home country driving license + Japanese translation, for the nationals of the following countries:
Switzerland, Taiwan, Slovenia, Germany, France, and Monaco
