Japanese Wild Flower Arrangement - Parents Experience (Nov. 9)

'Nageire' refers to the Japanese art of placing wild plants and flowers into a vessel while retaining their natural state. Under the motto 'Learn from flowers, enjoy flowers, and expand the circle of flower appreciation,’ our classes offer a welcoming space to enjoy the practice of Nageire.

What to expect:
In this class, you will arrange wild flora in a vessel of your own choosing, free from rigid rules or set forms. Seasonal plants and flowers constantly change with the turn of the seasons. 'Nageire' is the practice of noticing this fleeting beauty, connecting your emotions with it, and creating dialogue with the flowers as you arrange them. Alongside practical techniques̶such as preparing wild stems to absorb water and securing them gracefully in place̶you will also step out into the garden of Tsubomi- no-ie to gather your own seasonal blossoms. At the end of the lesson, you are welcome to take your arrangements home with you.
