In this after-school program, children will explore the richness of Japanese culture through hands-on experiences and creative activities.

From tea culture to traditional crafts and food, students will discover different aspects of Japanese life while learning through practice, curiosity, and exploration.

What to Expect

Over the course of 9 sessions, children will:

  • Learn basic Japanese language and cultural expressions

  • Explore the culture and tradition of tea

  • Create their own pair of chopsticks through a hands-on crafting activity

  • Learn about and make traditional Japanese sweets

Through these experiences, children will deepen their understanding of Japanese culture while building curiosity, creativity, and confidence in a fun and engaging environment.

Schedule:
Every Monday - 9 sessions (May 4 is skipped due to half-term break and public holidays)

  • April 13, 20, 27

  • May 11, 18, 25

  • June 1, 8, 15

Location: Boundless EC (Kamakura)
Time: 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Pick-up time: 4:30 PM sharp from Boundless EC (Kamakura)
Ages: 6-9

Terms & Conditions:

  • Deadline for Sign-Up: Thursday, April 9, 12:00 PM

  • Half-Term Break: No ECAs during the week of May 4, as the Education Center will be closed.

  • Refund Policy: Families have up to 24 hours after the first class (16:30 the next day) to decide to drop out and receive a refund for the remaining sessions. If the first session was attended, a one-off cost and a 10% processing fee will be deducted from the total reimbursed amount. After this 24-hour period, refunds will no longer be available. Please note that the activity have fixed dates and there no refunds for missed the classes.

  • All else in accordance with the Terms of Service
