Wednesday ECA Pottery (Age 10+)

In this after-school program, students will explore the art of ceramics through hands-on pottery making.

Guided by Virginia, a Swedish-Lithuanian ceramicist living in Kamakura, students will learn a variety of pottery techniques while creating their own functional and decorative pieces. Through shaping, sculpting, and glazing clay, participants will develop creativity, patience, and craftsmanship.

What to Expect

  • Learn pottery techniques such as pinching, coiling, and molding

  • Create bowls, cups, plates, sculptural figures, and decorative tiles

  • Explore glazing and surface decoration

  • Develop creativity, focus, and artistic expression through clay

This program encourages students to experiment with materials, express their ideas, and discover the rewarding process of turning clay into finished ceramic works.

Schedule:
Every Wednesday - 8 sessions (April 29 is skipped due to public holiday. May 6 is skipped due to half-term break)

Time: 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Pick-up time: 4:30 PM sharp from Boundless EC (Kamakura)

Terms & Conditions:

  • Deadline for Sign-Up: Thursday, April 9, 12:00 PM

  • Half-Term Break: No ECAs during the week of May 4, as the Education Center will be closed.

  • Refund Policy: Families have up to 24 hours after the first class (16:30 the next day) to decide to drop out and receive a refund for the remaining sessions. If the first session was attended, a one-off cost and a 10% processing fee will be deducted from the total reimbursed amount. After this 24-hour period, refunds will no longer be available. Please note that the activity have fixed dates and there no refunds for missed the classes.
