Parents Zazen Meditation I (Apr. 24)
Join us for a quiet and nourishing meditation session for parents at Kenchō-ji Temple, one of Kamakura’s most peaceful temples with 800 years of history.
This session offers a gentle pause from our daily responsibilities—a space to breathe, reset, and reconnect with yourself in a calm, supportive environment. Guided meditation will be accessible for both beginners and those with prior experience, focusing on relaxation, awareness, and presence.
We begin with a brief introduction to the Buddhist practice of zazen—seated Zen meditation—followed by a guided sitting session. We will then transition into a period of walking meditation, allowing mindfulness to continue in movement, before returning for a final seated practice to close the session with clarity and calm.
