Artist Studio Visit - Parents Experience (Jan. 29)
In this artist studio visit, we will familiarize ourselves with the work of Japan and California-based artist Francis Shingo, who moved to Kamakura 5 years ago.
We will tour around his studio to discover how the landscape and nature of Kamakura has inspired his works. There will also be a 30 minutes drawing session led by the artist himself, where the participants can draw and learn ways of expressing themselves.
After the studio tour, participants will join the artist to walk around the neighbourhood and enjoy a special lunch at a local Japanese restaurant operated by a local fisherman serving freshly caught fish of the day.
The tour ends after the lunch, but participants can choose to spend the rest of their free time at the one and only hot spring in Kamakura, the Inamuragasaki Onsen.
