The Culture of Tea – Parents Experience (Mar. 19th)
The Culture of Tea – Parents Experience (Mar. 19th)
Explore tea beyond ceremony in this relaxed and insightful session led by our tea teacher, Nana-san. The Culture of Tea takes a broader, global approach—discovering tea not only as tradition, but as a culture.
Parents will learn about different types of tea leaves and what makes them distinct, including how cultivation, oxidation, roasting, and processing shape their flavour and aroma. From green to oolong to black teas, the session highlights how one plant can express itself in many ways.
We will also explore simple brewing techniques—how temperature and timing influence taste—while enjoying tea in an open, conversational setting.
A thoughtful and approachable introduction to the wider world of tea, grounded in curiosity and shared discovery.
