Give Back Beach Cleaning (Nov 18th)
We’ll meet at the Hub at 11:30 AM and head out together for a community beach cleanup. Gloves and bags will be provided before we leave.
This activity depends on the weather, but our plan is to go from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM — hopefully with sunny skies on our side!
Why this matters in Uruguay
Studies of beaches around icons like Punta del Este show significant accumulation of plastic and micro-plastic debris, with direct links to nearby land-based sources of litter.
Keeping our coastline clean isn’t just about aesthetics — it’s critical for marine ecosystems, local tourism, public health, and sustainable development.
Thanks for joining — together we’ll make a positive impact on this beautiful place we’re calling home for a while! 🌊💙
