Family Firefly Night Walk (May. 30)
Join us for a family firefly night walk!
The lights of fireflies offer us one of nature's most beautiful spectacles! The phenomenon is only visible in May and June, during the insects' mating season, when males and females use their lights to communicate! On this nature walk, we'll take you to see the fireflies that fill the forest of Mata de Belas with magic and share with you some secrets about these fantastic animals!
Walking along the Ribeira de Belas, we will follow trails with beautiful oaks, cork oaks, ashes and poplar trees. The tranquillity of the stream and the embrace of the trees will accompany our steps. Throughout the walk, we'll invite you to awaken your senses to feel the life of the forest, with all its sounds, aromas and textures, in the company of the moon and the stars.
This tour will be guided by our partners called "Hearts into Nature". Here are some words about our partners:
Hearts into Nature is a trademark of guided walks and activities in nature, which invite people to learn about the flora and fauna of Portugal, combining the fascination of scientific mysteries with mindful nature observation. Hearts into Nature activities are organized and conducted by biologist Filipa Heitor, with RNAAT License nº 669/2019 of the Portuguese National Tourism Institute and recognized as Nature Tourism by the ICNF.
Event Details:
Date: Friday, May 30th
Time:8:30 p.m - approx. 10:30 pm
Meeting Point: Bellas Café
Transportation: We will reach out two weeks prior to coordinate transportation based on demand with estimated cost between €10-30 per person.
Alternatively, you can take an uber (approx. 12-15€ from EC.)
What to bring: closed shoes suitable for hiking, water, snacks, comfortable clothes
Difficulty Level: Easy - Level 1 (Scale 1 to 5)
Distance:Distance – 2,5 to 4 km (the distance is adaptable according to the children's age)
Participation:
Minimum age: 4 to 5 years old
Minimum Participants Required: 10
Maximum Participants: 20
Terms & Conditions:
Each individual must purchase an individual ticket to secure their spot.
Additional Dates: If an experience is fully booked, it will be marked as an "Informational Post." If demand exceeds the minimum participant requirement, we will make every effort to coordinate an additional date with our partner.
No Date Changes: If the event sells out and we add another date, families will not be able to switch dates. They must attend on their original booking date.
Sign-up Deadline: Monday, May 19th at 12:00 p.m.
Pricing analysis: The final price includes a 15% Boundless Life fee (12% management fee + 3% card processing fee).
Refunds: May be subject to processing fees, as outlined in the Terms of Service.
