From clifftop trails & sweeping ocean views to vineyards and wild beauty!
We’ll start our journey at Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, where rugged cliffs meet the vast Atlantic Ocean. From there, we’ll follow a coastal trail down towards Praia da Adraga. On the way, we will cross beautiful vineyards and local flora and walk along breathtaking cliffs with stunning views of towering rock formations.
The hike offers a bit of a challenge with uneven terrain and descents, but it’s absolutely worth it for the breathtaking views and the sense of adventure.
Once we reach the beach, we’ll take our time to relax and enjoy a picnic together, with the ocean stretching out before us.
This hike will take between 2 and 2.5 hours. The pace will be relaxed, with plenty of time to soak in the views, take photos, and enjoy the outdoors.
Meeting Point: Cabo da Roca
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate Level 2 (Scale 1 to 5). The hike is mostly flat with little elevation gain, with only a few portions of uneven terrain.
Distance: ~ 5 km
Schedule: Friday, April 17th, from 10 AM - approx. 12:30 PM
Transportation: Not Included
To go: We will meet directly there. It is a 30-minute drive from Sintra.
To return: You might face long wait times or no available cars. A safer plan if you’re on a tight schedule would be to arrange a pickup ahead of time. Feel free to coordinate your transport there & back with our transfer partner Avenidas
What to bring: closed shoes suitable for hiking, water, a picnic / snacks, a hat, sunscreen & sunglasses, and comfortable clothes.
