Talking Through Plants: A Herb Walk & Remedy-Making Experience with Fernanda Botelho (August 26)
A rare opportunity to meet, connect with & learn from one of Portugal’s most beloved and celebrated herbalists!
Join us for a special experience where we delve into the world and healing power of plants, combining a walk through Sintra’s lush landscape and a hands-on workshop, all led by local legend Fernanda Botelho, a renowned ethnobotanist and herbal educator, originally from Sintra and deeply rooted in Mediterranean and Portuguese herbal traditions.
With decades of experience and a contagious enthusiasm for nature, Fernanda can transform a simple walk, talk, or workshop into an immersive journey. You'll dive into nature's pharmacy and wisdom, learning how to identify local medicinal plants and edible herbs all around you as you meander through Sintra's rich, natural landscape, before creating your own natural remedies.
Fernanda's walks, talks, books & workshops are loved for their warmth, depth, and authenticity. She has a unique ability to reconnect people with the natural abundance around them, making the world of plants accessible to anyone and rooted in sustainable, nature-connected living. The wealth of knowledge she so openly shares is both grounding and empowering, whilst also serving as an invitation to slow down, observe differently, and experience whatever region we find ourselves through the lens of interconnectedness.
