Are you ready for an immersive journey into the captivating world of the Portuguese language?
Having basic notions of the local language of your host country or culture fosters connections and friendships with people from the community. It also demonstrates respect and interest in their culture and traditions, making it more likely for locals to welcome you and provide support as you adjust to your new environment. With this in mind, we’ve created this fun & interactive course to help you master everyday conversations in Portuguese so you can begin to settle right into your new ‘life chapter’ in Sintra!
….and who knows: if future travels ever take you to Brazil, Cabo Verde, or any other Portuguese-speaking country, you'll already have solid foundations to pick up where you left off!
General Objectives:
• Gain a greater degree of confidence when using the Portuguese language in everyday contexts
• Develop a basic command of oral expression
Specific objectives:
• Understand native speakers in everyday situations
• To be able to place orders in shops, cafés, restaurants, markets, etc.
1st lesson in the classroom:
• Presentation of the group and teacher
• Analysis of the trainees' needs
• Introduction to the Portuguese language
Subsequent lessons in hybrid mode:
• Lessons in the classroom, dealing with everyday topics so that the trainees can gain more in-depth knowledge of relevant aspects of Portuguese culture.
• Practical lessons outdoors (weather-permitting) to practice Portuguese in everyday contexts.
Schedule: Tuesdays, starting January 20th from 10 am - 12 pm (no class on February 10th due to Half Term week)
Location: Sintralinguas
What is included: Learning Material
What to bring: Notebook, pen or pencil
Transportation: Not included. Language school is within walking distance from the EC
No of Sessions: 8
Minimum Participants Required: 4
Maximum Participants: 8
Each individual must purchase an individual ticket to secure their spot. Once purchased, tickets are not exchangeable.
Sign-up Deadline: Thursday, 15th of January at 12 PM.
Additional Dates: If an experience is fully booked, it will be marked as an "Informational Post." If demand exceeds the minimum participant requirement, we will make every effort to coordinate an additional date with our partner.
Refunds: May be subject to processing fees, as outlined in the Terms of Service.
