Improvisation Cooking Class: Taste the Mediterranean & Cook for Longevity (June 11)
From Ikaria to the Cyclades: cooking for vitality, connection, and joy
Through Maria’s guidance, this hands-on cooking session invites you to explore the simplicity and richness of Greek island cuisine. You’ll discover how humble ingredients—vegetables, legumes, whole grains, local herbs, spices, cheeses, and cured fish or meat—can be transformed into nourishing and flavorful dishes. Rooted in the principles of “The Cooking of Necessity,” this experience celebrates seasonality, creativity, and respect for ingredients, offering a glimpse into the everyday wisdom of the Cyclades.
The class is playful and collaborative. Rather than following recipes step by step, you’ll be encouraged to improvise, trust your senses, and create your own warm dishes, cold preparations, and salads. Working in small teams, international guests and Greek participants come together to share ideas, inspiration, and stories, experiencing Mediterranean food culture as something alive, generous, and deeply human.
