Join us on a guided hike with Trekking Hellas to Kastri, one of Syros’s most significant prehistoric sites and a key landmark of the Cycladic civilization, among the oldest known in the world.
Kastri is special because it shows some of the earliest signs of organized community life, planned structures, fortification walls, and the foundations of what would later develop into more complex Aegean societies. The site sits on a hill overlooking the sea, offering a stunning combination of history and landscape.
The hike itself is part of the experience. As you walk along scenic trails and reach the settlement, you won’t find intact buildings or artifacts, but you will encounter the remains of a 4,000-year-old community and a strategic location that reveals how people lived, worked, and protected themselves in the Bronze Age.

Wear comfortable clothes and training shoes, and bring water for the trail.
