What to Expect
This practical and engaging course is designed for absolute beginners who want to start speaking Italian with confidence in their daily life in Pistoia and beyond.
Through simple conversations, real-life situations, and essential vocabulary, you’ll learn how to understand and use everyday expressions right from the very first lesson. From your morning coffee at the bar to navigating the city or talking about your travel plans, each session focuses on useful language that you can immediately put into practice.
In a relaxed and friendly environment, you’ll explore Italian culture, typical expressions, and common communication habits—always through guided dialogues, role-playing, and hands-on activities that make learning natural and enjoyable.

Program Overview
Monday 19th of January – Greetings and Introductions
Learn formal and informal greetings, how to introduce yourself and ask someone’s name, ask how someone is and where they come from.
Monday 26th of January – At the Bar or Restaurant
Order food and drinks, ask for the bill, and use typical bar/restaurant expressions.
Monday 16th of February – Travel and Transportation
Buy tickets, use public transport, ask for train or bus schedules, talk about your travel plans.
Monday 2nd of March– In the City and Asking for Directions
Ask for and give directions, understand the answers, use prepositions of place, and practice in the city centre streets.
Monday 9th of March – Inglese farlocco
Learn those so-called English expressions Italians often use, even if they don’t actually exist in English.
Monday 16th of March – Exploring Pistoia
Experience culture, history, and language.

Number of Sessions: 6 sessions
Session Time: 11:00 am to 12:30 pm (except 16th of March, 12.00 pm to 1.30 pm)

Minimum Participants per Group: 5
Maximum Participants per Group: 8

Please note: There can be a small additional and optional cost for workshops or activities not covered in the standard price (e.g., breakfast at the café activity).

Sign-Up Deadline: Thursday, January 15th at 1.00 pm
Half-Term Break: No Parents Activities will happen during Half-Term Week.
Payment: The specified amount is per person

Refunds: May be subject to processing fees, as outlined in the Terms of Service. Families have up to 24 hours after the first class to decide to drop out and receive a refund for the remaining sessions. After this period, no refunds will be available.
